We can only find God through His Son Jesus Christ. 

We must ask Jesus into our hearts and make Him the Master of our lives.

If we want Jesus to take control, than we must surrender control to Him.

WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?

Admit that you are a sinner. We all have sinned. We tell ourselves we aren’t so bad.

After all, we don’t rob, we don’t hurt others, we do many kind and good things.

The Bible says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. (Romans 3:23) and in Jeremiah, the Bible tells us that “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked” .

What is the result of this sin? The Bible states we are all condemned. “The wages of sin is death”. (Romans 6:23) We cannot do enough good to earn our way into heaven. In fact, we are destined to eternity in Hell. We can never measure up to the standards of a Holy God.

What can we do?

Only God can erase the sins and imperfections we all have.

The Bible says it is simple “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

WOW!! What a promise! It means, that no matter what we have done, no matter how bad we were or are He will forgive us and make us whole again. It does not mean we have to become a better person first, only that we must be truly sorry for what we have done and sincerely desire to change. He has promised us that we can be made new; we can be born again.

How can we accept this free gift?

First, we must admit that we are sinners and cannot help ourselves.

Second, we must acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Third, accept His gift of forgiveness. The Bible states “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness”. (John 12:46)

If you sincerely want this free gift of eternal life, pray this prayer (use your own words):

Dear Father,

I admit that I am a sinner. I believe you sent your son Jesus to die for my sins. I want to turn from my life of sin and accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, I love you. Amen

What next?

First, you will want to read your Bible faithfully everyday, to learn more about God’s plan for your life.

Second, pray faithfully everyday; it is only through prayer that you can develop a personal relationship with Jesus your Savior.

Third, faithfully attend a church where they acknowledge Jesus as their Savior and the only Son of God.
